Best thing ever

My most favorite part about being a mommy and waking up in the middle of the night is this.....

She is just so tiny and sweet. In love how she rests her head on her little hands and falls right to sleep!
This is night two of being home from the hospital. Last night was rough. I basically was up the entire night trying to figure out how to get little miss to sleep. It wasn't until 4 am when I supplemented my milk with a bottle of formula! Such a great idea. She finally had the full tummy she needed and slept beautifully until 9 am!

I still need to post about before going to the hospital, during the hospital and what has happened since then. Like her jaundice not going away! : (

Life is amazing and Matthew is by far the most wonderful man ever! In all aspects of life he is amazing, but he is an exceptional father and husband. Went to the store and bought me a bunch of things to help my sore chest. Things I didn't even know existed. He is magical! Thanks honey!

Ribs moving

Tonight Matt and I laid in bed and felt little Dune make her self known. Just after laying down I felt her start to move like she was waking up. Then all the sudden I felt hiccups! First time ever! So cool. Felt like very consistent wiggles. Then she really started to move. Kicking my ribs pushing on Matt's hand. Fun times. Definitely need to be remembered.

We only have 6 ish more weeks until she's here. We still have lots to do and prepare for. :) next project is the dresser in the nursery! So fun! Latest tummy picture at 33 weeks. Only up 11 lbs!

Small things to remember

I always hear my mom tell stories about me dancing in her belly. And I just think "oh mom your silly". But I know for sure that our little girl loves music, just like my mom knew I loved to dance!

The first time I noticed that she loved music was at the MUSIC AND THE SPOKEN WORD, in SLC. I had the great opportunity to go to this live broadcast of MoTab with my mom, dad, grandma, and two aunts. Our baby will be named after my grandma who has always loved the choir. It made it special that i was able to attend this magical broadcast with my dear grandma. When the bells went off from the orchestra she jumped like crazy!

Today I am with my sister and her family in Larmie. Each time the music plays, baby Dune wiggles and wiggles inside me. I can't wait to find out why she loves it so much!

The BIG reveal

I can't believe that I haven't posted anything since finding out what we are having.  We had a great time at the doctor a few weeks ago.  I finally gained some weight--4 pounds.  We went straight to the ultrasound room and without any troubles the doctor got a GREAT shot of our little baby's privates!!!

"IT'S" A GIRL!!!

With some hesitation the doctor said for Matt’s sake, “ you know she could grow a little wiener before popping out!”  So now Matt is holding on to that little tiny chance that it is a boy! But I’m pretty sure we’ve got a little Dune Baby!

This last weekend I was able to spend time with my Grandma Dune, Mom, Dad, Aunt Diana, and Aunt Luana! We visited family all over the state.  And Aunt Diana reminded me regularly that I needed to tell everybody about my little Dune in my tummy!

2 more sleepies

As of today we have 2 more sleepies until we go to the doctor to try--again--to find out the gender.

Some things to remember that Matt says...
Matt.  "Kick harder, harder, kick your mom harder!!!"
Me, "NO that would hurt, please don't kick harder!"
Him, "I want it to so I CAN FEEL IT!!"

He got whacked for this next one.
This one night I really was having a hard time sleeping while staying at Grandma and Grandpa Aitken's during spring break.  So I laid perfectly still, not to wake up Matt who was sleeping so sweet next to me.  The next day I told him...
"You have no idea how quiet I can be!"
Him, "Your right...I don't! (followed by evil smirks and giggles and his arm covering his chest cause he knew he was going to get beat!)"  Implying that I never stop talking!

Pregnancy perk

Just before I realized I was prego I had already stopped biting my finger nails. Since 5 weeks I have completely stopped. No desire, no anxious feelings that cause me to want to tear them off, and I can't really bite through them.
Pretty nuts how quickly they grow too! I have to cut them at least 2x a week. And they get this long every time before cutting them.

19 weeks

"When are you going to have a REAL pregnant belly??" Matt says with a real sad voice. Then kisses my tummy and says bye to go do another round through the library.

Just an hour earlier he kissed my tummy and then me and said bye. It was the sweetest thing ever!
